This past week at Two Giraffes, we embarked on a vibrant journey celebrating Francophone and Culture Week, bringing together music, traditions, and a beautiful sense of community.
The highlight of our celebrations was a show where our kids took center stage, proudly singing French songs they had been practicing throughout the week. With enthusiasm and confidence, they performed in front of their families, filling the air with melodies that showcased their growing love for the French language.
But the celebration didn’t stop there! We also embraced Culture Week, making it a truly immersive experience. Children and teachers dressed in their traditional attire, proudly representing their heritage. Many parents also joined in, wearing cultural outfits and bringing a special touch of diversity to the event.
Following the performances, we gathered for a grand buffet, where families shared homemade traditional dishes from their respective backgrounds. From delicious Kenyan delicacies to French specialties and beyond, the feast was a true reflection of the richness of our school’s multicultural community.
This event was not only an opportunity for our students to showcase their talents but also a beautiful reminder of the importance of embracing different cultures, languages, and traditions. Through music, fashion, and food, we celebrated what makes us unique while strengthening the bonds that unite us.
A big thank you to all the parents, teachers, and children who made this event such a success! We look forward to many more moments of cultural exchange and joy in the future. Vive la diversité!
